Hobbies and Interests: Ms. Alwin loves her job, teaching music to young people! In her free time she loves hanging out with friends and family, reading, watching great dramas on TV, going to the movies, and of course playing and creating music. She especially loves learning music from all over the globe, and plays with several bands. Amongst many of her musical projects she plays with Balkan Coup (italics) performing music from the Balkans, and The Stone Sound Collective which synthesizes West African, South Indian Carnatic, and American Jazz styles.
Strengths I bring to Clague: I bring to Clague my deep interest in the ways that music helps us express ourselves individually and collectively as humans. I love working with students of the middle-school years, and am honored to be a teacher during this transformative time in their lives.
Length of Service in Education: I began teaching in 1998 and have been at Clague since 2002.
