Practice Club-Ms. Alwin
The Practice Club meets on Thursday afternoons in Rooms 138, and 140. This club is available to any student at Clague interested in a supportive environment to practice their musical instrument (including voice). High School Mentors are available to coach students one-on-one, or in small groups. This is a fabulous opportunity to work alongside older students and to learn more about the art of practicing. Math Counts-Ms. Hopkins
MathCounts is starting October 15 in room 212. This after school club is for anyone who loves math and enjoys friendly competition. The club meets each Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00. It is coached by Ms. Hopkins and Annie Song, a former Clague Mathlete and current Huron High School student!
In addition to preparing for the regional competition where we compete against schools throughout Washtenaw County we will now be participating in the MathCounts on-line competition in which we will compete against teams around the country and the world.
MathCounts exposes you to new strategies and math concepts and improves your understanding of mathematics.
Science Olympiad-Mr. Hoeflinger
Attention all Clague student This fun and exciting team will compete this spring against other area middle schools for a chance to compete on a state and national level. Build a bridge, identify fossils, fly model airplanes, learn the bones of the human body, eat pizza; If any of this sounds like fun, you may be Science Olympiad material and should show up on Tuesday at 3:00 in the cafeteria to join in the fun.
Enough Club-Ms. Parins
The Enough Club at Clague Middle School is a group of students devoted to speak out and act on behalf of children around the world who do not have a voice and are forced into circumstances that do not allow them to have basic human resources such as clean drinking water and a place to go to school. We have adopted a village in Sierra Leone and raised enough money to build a well there last year. This year, our goal is to raise enough money to build a school for them.
Cougar Chronicles (school newspaper)-Ms. Prieskorn,Ms. Kanter
The school newspaper is published 6 times per year. We report on staff and student happenings. Our staff plans a theme, writes the stories, edits and prints the newspaper.
We will meet every Tuesday after school in the Cougar Lab beginning Sept 22. See our past issues on the Clague website.
Origami Club-Ms. Hotaling
Origami club is where you can learn how to fold the traditional Japanese paper crane, cubes, wreaths, and many more fun filled objects you can make. Even if you have never folded paper before, come and join the club and learn all the magical things you can make out of paper.

BSU-Ms. Chapman
Clague Middle School Black Student Union will meet on Tuesday's from 3:00 to 4:00 in room 213. The BSU will explore African American Heritage as well a splan events that feature a wide variety of other cultures. We encourage members to excel both academically and behaviorally. We want all students to be able to work effectively in school as well as in the community. Ms. Chapman encourages all 7th and 8th grade students to join this organization.
